The Colorado Theatre Guild’s 11th Annual Henry Awards took place on July 18. Established in 2006, the Henry Awards honor outstanding achievements during the past season. Nominations are determined through a judging process conducted by more than 45 state-wide theatre reporters, educators and assigned judges. Twenty five total Henry Awards were given out for the 2015-2016 season.
The “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical” was awarded to Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre (RMRT) actor Steven E. Sitzman.
Sitzman won for his portrayal of Uncle Fester in The Addams Family production last summer at the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre. Michael Querio, Executive Artistic Director at RMRT, accepted the award on Sitzman’s behalf as he is performing at RMRT this summer as Grimsby in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, The Mayor and ensemble in Rock of Ages, and Edgar in Titanic: The Musical.
