2-year-old girl shot by brother in western Colo.
CRAIG, Colo. (AP) – Authorities in Moffat County say a 2-year-old girl was shot by her 4-year-old brother in an apparent accident.
The shooting occurred Monday evening and involved a large caliber handgun. Sheriff’s department investigator Jeremy Ashton said the gun was left in an area accessible to the children.
He told the Craig Daily Press that the girl is expected to recover from her injuries.
Authorities are investigating exactly how the boy got the gun. The owner of the gun could face charges depending on what they find.
