(Updated) 2018 Primary Election: It’ll be Polis vs. Stapleton for governor; more than half of registered Grand Co. voters cast ballots

With no contested spots in this year’s primary election for Grand County, people kept their eyes on the big races, namely for the next Colorado governor.

More than half, or 3,480, of the total number of registered voters in Grand County — 5,120 according to the Grand County Clerk — cast a ballot in Tuesday’s primary election. At the state level, U.S. Rep. Jared Polis captured enough votes to earn the Democratic nomination for governor, along with Walker Stapleton for the Republicans.
