2024 Best of Grand: Voters select Fontenot’s in Winter Park as Best Seafood
Fontenot’s Fresh Seafood & Grill is right on the edge of Winter Park, straddling the border shared with Fraser at the Kings Crossing center. The restaurant has been in the business of serving high-quality seafood, steaks and more since 1990.
This year’s Best of Grand voters selected Fontenot’s Seafood & Grill as having the Best Seafood in Grand County. Owner Chris Moore thanked the local community for voting in this year’s contest.
“It feels good to be recognized by the community,” Moore said. “We sell lots of seafood and get it delivered fresh all the time.”
Fontenot’s is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekends. The restaurant is closed on Mondays, so be sure to get your seafood fix any other day.
The Winter Park restaurant has built up a reputation serving fresh seafood, often with some Cajun flair. Customers can order the shrimp étouffée that is served with a rich sauce made of garlic, peppers, onions, celery, tomatoes and jasmine rice. The Fontenot’s scallopini features scallops with roasted tomato, fresh basil, garlic and Parmesan cheese. The seafood entrees are served with the chef’s choice of potatoes and house vegetables.
In addition to seafood, Fontenot’s also serves up red meat, like the 14-ounce hand-cut rib-eye steak with choice of garlic butter, bacon and blue cheese sauce, or a mushroom Marsala. Customers can also add a shrimp cake, crab cake or grilled shrimp to their steak at an additional cost.
While Fontenot’s is known for its delicious lunch and dinner selection, did you know they also serve breakfast? They serve classic breakfast dishes like biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, French toast and much more.
Make sure to call ahead and reserve a spot for the chance to try all that Fontenot’s Fresh Seafood & Grill offers.
