6th Annual Community Lefse Bake
It’s happening again. Our Grand County Sons of Norway Storfjell Lodge is once again hosting a free community-wide Scandinavian baking event on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 4, 1 p.m.- 3 p.m., at the Church of the Eternal Hills Fellowship Hall, Tabernash. It’s not just for Norwegians. We couldn’t find enough Norwegians so we invited the Swedes and Danes. Then we had so much fun, other ethnic groups started coming as well. Now we have a tradition in Grand County that may live for many years as the entire community joins together to bake and sample Scandinavian foods. In keeping with our local spirit, we want to preserve our Scandinavian heritage and share it in our friends. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the experience of cooking traditional food like lefse and krumkake. Plus county residents get to eat the fruits of their labors and sample other Scandinavian delights. So please join us on Nov. 4. Mark your calendars now. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to learn some ethnic cooking and enjoy some tasty treats. This is a free community-wide event, so everyone is invited. For more information call Debbe Knutson at 726-8782.
