7th arrested in Pueblo man’s slaying
PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) – A seventh person has been arrested in last year’s slaying of a Pueblo man whose home was set on fire after he was killed.
On Thursday, 30-year-old Matthew Barnes was arrested in Colorado Springs. He faces arson and robbery charges.
Six other people face charges ranging from burglary to murder in the December death of Robert M. Piserchio. Authorities have said a group of people were casing Piserchio’s home for a heist, and during the break-in the man was killed.
One of those charged, 47-year-old Sheena Sann Baker, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit theft.
Barnes was charged in January but not apprehended until Thursday. He’s being held in the Pueblo County jail.
