8th Annual Grand Mountain Bank Golf Tournament
September 6, 2012
The 8th Annual Grand Mountain Bank Golf Tournament to benefit the food banks in Grand County will take place on Friday, Sept. 14, at Grand Elk Golf Club.
In its first seven years, this tournament has raised more than $60,000 to help feed the hungry in Grand County. This year the tournament is honoring Mike and Jackie Tompkins for their generosity to the Grand Lake and Grand County community and their many civic contributions.
“With the continued sluggish economic conditions and high unemployment in the county, we need to continue to help those who are struggling to feed their families,” said Grand Mountain Bank Chairman John Selma.
The shotgun start for this scramble tournament will be at 1:30 p.m. on the Grand Elk Course. The cost is $100 per player or $400 per foursome, which includes greens fee, cart and range balls, a sleeve of new balls and beverages and burgers. A variety of sponsorships are available for businesses and individuals wishing to support this effort to stem hunger in Grand County. Hole sponsorships are available for $100, Tournament Sponsors for $250 and the Charity Sponsorship is $500. Non-golfer contributions to the food banks are also welcome.
Individuals wishing to play in or sponsor the tournament can get a registration form online at http://www.grandmountainbank.com or stop by any of our the Bank’s Grand County locations and ask for more information about the tournament.
