A glance at the market: Grand County real estate market update

In the month of November, we continue to see the housing market in Grand County remain strong.
New listings were up 60 percent for single family homes and 42.9 percent for townhouse-condo properties. There were 33 pending sales for single family homes and 23 for townhouse-condo properties.
The median sales price was up 24.7 percent to $455,000 for single family homes and up 2.1 percent to $245,000 for townhouse-condo properties. Days on market decreased 10.5 percent for single family homes and decreased 20.3 percent for townhouse-condo properties.
New tax legislation could have ramifications on housing. The White House believes that the tax reform bill will have a small impact on home prices, lowering them by less than 4 percent, and could conceivably boost homeownership. This is a developing story and will keep you posted as we move into 2018.
As we move into the winter season, it’s a great time to be selling real estate in Grand County. During the holiday season clients who are looking to buy are often serious buyers who fall in love with our community. Inventory is also in demand so there is a great opportunity to list your home. With Colorado being such a desirable location, more second home buyers are looking in the Grand County area.
