Alchemy Pizza & Booze opens in Winter Park
Editor’s note: This article has been updated to correct Ryan Singleton’s title at Smokehouse BBQ.
A new pizza and brews joint has opened in Winter Park, serving up homey Italian-American food.
Alchemy Pizza & Booze opened in mid-October, occupying the former space of James Peak Pizza Joint. The restaurant offers groovy vibes with a nod to the Grateful Dead and other psychedelic bands, and features a menu modeled after the periodic table.
Chef Ryan Singleton, a co-owner of Smokehouse BBQ down the street in Winter Park, handles operations with his wife, Neezy Singleton. He co-owns the space with Amy Wentling Ragener, who was the former owner of James Peak. Behind the bar is Dustin Corcoran.
Alchemy’s hand-tossed pizza menu features classics like pepperoni and margarita alongside more modern takes like chicken bacon ranch. The menu also offers Detroit-style deep dish pizzas. Diners who prefer their pizza folded in half will find a variety of calzones to try.
The restaurant also features hearty sandwiches like the pork belly porchetta, warm soups like tomato bisque, and fresh salads like the Italian chop. And no Italian joint would be complete without a few pasta classics, such as spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmesan. The menu also has vegetarian and gluten free options.
Prices range from $5 to $12 for starters and $12 to $28 for entrees. Visit Alchemy-Pizza.com to check out the menu.
