Alpine Aerials bring home bling from State Championships

Fraser Valley’s Alpine Aerials brought home 14 medals from State Competition July 31.

The Alpine Aerials Gymnastics Team had 12 gymnasts compete at the State CARA gymnastics meet this past weekend at Cherry Creek High School.

Seven of the 12 gymnasts that competed collected 14 medals in all events including the all-around category.

Aerial girls that medaled at states are:

Level 4 Compulsory: Alison Skare – balance beam, 4th Place

Optional Level 1: Katrina Quinn – uneven bars , 3rd place; Robin Peterson – vault, 5th place and balance beam 6th place; all-around 6th place; Nicole Rhodes – vault, 3rd place, uneven bars, 4th place, floor, 6th place and 2nd place all-around; Danielle Keen – Vault, 4th place.

Optional Level 2: Jo Quinn – floor exercise, 6th place

Optional Level 4: Ashley Matney – balance beam,1st place; floor 2nd place; 4th place all-around.

The other gymnasts that competed were Megan Lovato, Jenna Curran, Olivia Butrymovich, Paige Romero and Delayne Neiberger.
