Play Days fundraiser: good food, music April 30

Special to the Sky-Hi News

Good food, live music by Matty Brown, a silent auction with tons of offerings and socializing are all part of the annual Granby Play Days Preschool fundraiser dinner set to start at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Brickhouse 40 in Granby.

A portion of all dinner proceeds will go to the operations of the preschool, located in the little red schoolhouse at First and Jasper Streets in Granby. Silent auction proceeds will also fund the school.

“We’re inviting the community to bring their family and come out and have a good time while benefiting a good cause,” says Gretta Fosha, president of the board for Granby Play Days. “With live music by Matty Brown and the great food at Brickhouse 40, we know people will have a great time for the benefit of our school.”

Granby Play Days, located in the red building at the intersection of Jasper and Second streets in Granby, serves 20 families and 22 children from Granby, Grand Lake and Hot Sulphur Springs. The school offers a curriculum based on discovering and learning through play. It accepts children ages 2.5-6. It has a low student to teacher ratio and is Qualistar rated.
