Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest gets a new supervisor
Chris Stubbs was named the new forest supervisor for the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grassland in early November. Stubbs replaces Monte Williams, who retired in June, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Stubbs previously worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Southern California, and prior to that, he spent 22 years with the National Park Service, according to the release.
“Chris brings a strong background in recreation planning, wildfire and disaster recovery, and partnerships,” Rocky Mountain Regional Forester Troy Heithecker said in the release.
Stubbs, who will live in the Fort Collins area, is set to start the new role in mid-January.
