On Feb. 8, Snow King Valley was said to be across from a re-named restaurant in Hot Sulphur Springs. However, the correct ski hill was Howelsen Hill ” also locally known as Bungalow Hill ” named after Karl Howelsen who later moved on to Steamboat Springs, where he was honored again by having a second ski hill bear his name.

Snow King Valley was located 1.5 miles east of Howelsen Hill.

Also, Bill Hamilton, in his commentary, states that the Grand Lake political shooting occurred on July 4, 1893. The shooting occurred 10 years prior, on July 4, 1883.
