Autumn Phillips will be missed
August 4, 2009
To the Editor:
There are few times in our lives that we have a person come into our community who has the quality and character of a person like Autumn Phillips. You are a rock.
I remember the first time meeting Autumn, and I said to myself and I also expressed to her that we are fortunate to have you here in Grand County. Now another town will be as blessed as we were for such a short period of time.
Autumn, change is good and I know as you move forward in your aspirations you will have opportunities to grow and expand. I will miss all that you brought to this community and most of all I will miss our friendship.
An acquaintance of mine once said they will not know what they have until you are gone, and then they will stand and wonder why we did not take more time to get to know you. I will cherish the few special moments at the farm, gardens, tennis, and our conversations.
You are special. Stay who you, and I am glad to have taken the time to get to know you. All of us who had the opportunity have grown and become better people.
Autumn, know that you are on the list of those special people you meet in a lifetime. We will miss you
I wrote this poem a long time ago when I left from Florida to Colorado:
I wrote some words, in the sand today.
They were blown away, by the wind.
To a far away place, Left Unspoken …
Let us not end this day,
Or leave this life,
With our words Left Unspoken.
