Back to school night successful thanks to local businesses

It takes a community to make a difference and once again, many of our business community members from all directions from Granby to Grand Lake to Winter Park to Parshall came together to help the East Grand Middle School raise money at their Back to School Night on Wednesday, Sept. 10.For the second year in a row, Janet Peters and other members of the Parent Association Committee (PAC), solicited food donations to serve at the back to school night. We had an overwhelming response from our local businesses. As a result, EGMS parents, teachers, staff and students enjoyed a delicious smorgasbord of goodies and raised over $1,200. These monies go into the PAC fund to be used to sponsor student activities throughout the year.East Grand Middle School extends their gratitude and appreciation to the following business in making this event a success: American Linen, Caroline’s Cuisine, City Market, Deno’s, Fontenot’s Frito Lay, Hernando’s, Ian’s Bakery, Java Lava, Middle Park Meat, Pancho & Lefty’s, Parshall Inn, Pearl Dragon, Pizza Hut, Safeway, Sagebrush BBQ & Grill, Showboat Catering, Smokin’ Moe’s, Sushi Bar, Tabernash Tavern, The Pub, and the Winter Park Resort.Leah CheekPresident of EGMS PAC
