Berthoud Pass re-opens, while Grand County prepares for the storm

CDOT closed Berthoud Pass briefly around 5 p.m. Friday, April 15 due to hazardous conditions and several accidents. CDOT has also closed I-70 Westbound at Georgetown and Eastbound over Vail Pass.

US Highway 40 west-bound on the east side of Berthoud Pass near Milemarker 256-243 is now open, according to CDOT.

Wet, slushy road conditions exist all over Grand County on Friday afternoon. More heavy, wet snow is coming according to forecasters – up to four feet some predict in the mountains.
