Biggest-ever pot convention opens in Denver

DENVER (AP) – A “cannabis lifestyle” convention opening in Denver Friday is expected to set attendance records.

KushCon II won’t feature any actual marijuana, but convention-goers can shop for marijuana-growing products and learn how to start a pot business. There will be demonstrations on cooking with pot and a skateboarding exhibition. Politicians including Democratic Rep. Jared Polis of Colorado are among the speakers.

Organizers say the KushCon convention could draw up to 50,000 people by the time it closes Sunday. The convention is sponsored by Kush Magazine of southern California. Kush is a type of marijuana.
