BLM Environmental Assessment on Oil and Gas Lease parcels, public comments needed

BLM Northwest District representatives will provide an overview of the Oil & Gas Lease Parcels to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) during their December 6 meeting at 2:15 p.m., according to a press release sent on Nov. 22.

Public comments may be limited, the release stated.

The BOCC is in the process of writing comments on the Environmental Assessment (EA) in opposition of the Oil & Gas Lease Parcels in Grand County.



“The BOCC encourages all citizens and visitors of Grand County to provide written comments to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) regarding the recently released Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning twenty (20) proposed Oil & Gas Lease Parcels, totaling 27,529 acres, in Grand County.”

Comments must be submitted to the BLM by December 12 and need to be emailed to blm_co_may_2017_lease_sale@blm.gov or mailed to the BLM White River Field Office, Attn: May 2017 Lease Sale, 220 E. Market Street, Meeker, CO 81641.
