Boating season winds down on ANRA

Sky-Hi News Staff Report
Grand County, CO Colorado

GRANBY – With winter approaching, the U.S. Forest Service has started removing all hazard and navigational buoys from Lake Granby and Shadow Mountain Reservoir. All buoys in the Arapaho National Recreation Area are expected to be off the lake by Oct. 21. Boaters are urged to use extra caution when recreating on these lakes at the end of the season as water levels are low and unidentified hazards exist. The U.S. Forest Service will close Stillwater Boat Ramp when water levels fall below three feet at the ramp. This could occur within the next week or two, depending on the rate of water level reduction. Sunset Boat Ramp will remain open and available for the remainder of the season. For more information, call the Sulphur Ranger District at 970-887-4100.
