BOCC OKs two GCLD board members

At their Tuesday, September 26 meeting the Grand County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved two of three candidates selected by the Grand County Library District (GCLD) to serve on the Board of Trustees.

Marcus Davis, a Hot Sulphur Springs resident will fill the At Large B seat from which Leslie Crosby resigned.

Carol Hunter, a Grand Lake resident was chosen for the At Large A seat, formerly held by Kim Jensen.

The BOCC postponed the approval of the third candidate, Jim Sloan, a Kremmling resident that was selected by the GCLD to fill the vacancy for District 3. Commissioner Kris Manguso said she wanted to discuss the position with Sloan, and the BOCC will address it at a later time.

The GCLD Central Services building, located at 225 E. Jasper Avenue, is in the process of being listed for sale.

The 2017 budget will be presented and voted upon at the October 11 regular meeting of the GCLD Board of Trustees at 5:30 p.m. at the Granby Library.

A budget hearing in which the public has the opportunity to participate will be held on Tuesday, November 15 at the Granby Library.
