Body found in Colorado River near Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) – Authorities say a body has been retrieved from the Colorado River west of Grand Junction.

Mesa County sheriff’s deputies have not released the name or gender of the victim. They say there are no indications of foul play.

Rafters reported seeing the body on Sunday. A county coroner’s investigator recovered the body about three hours later.

An autopsy was planned.
