Body ID’d as Indiana man missing in Cache la Poudre River

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) – Authorities have confirmed that a body found in a northern Colorado river is that of a 25-year-old Indiana man who disappeared while floating in an inner tube.

The Larimer County coroner’s office says Brandon Bowie died on May 30. His body was found Tuesday in the Cache la Poudre (CASH lah POO’-der) River.

Sheriff’s officials have said he was from Gary, Ind.

Deputies said Bowie and a friend were tubing when both overturned in rough water. The friend made it to shore after grabbing some bushes.
