Boy killed after being struck by father’s car

DENVER (AP) – Denver police say a 6-year-old boy riding a skateboard died after being struck by his father’s car.

Police say the boy’s father didn’t see his son get in the way of his car Sunday evening in a neighborhood in southwest Denver. The boy was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say “it was just an unfortunate accident.”

Police say the boy’s mother was also in the car when he was hit.
