Breaking News: Fire destroys Granby home

A fire at 505 East Pine Drive in Granby started in the garage of a home on Thursday afternoon shortly before 3 p.m.

The fire quickly spread from the garage to the house.

The home, which according to neighbors has been a long-term rental home, was unoccupied at the time, neighbors said.

The home belongs to former Granby residents Bill and Hilary Hayne, of Elizabeth.

Granby fire attended the scene with multiple fire trucks, with mutual aid from East Grand Fire and Grand County EMS.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
