Brigid Irish arraignment set for Feb. 27
Brigid Irish will be back in District Court today, Feb. 27, for an arraignment.
Irish will appear before District Judge Mary Hoak. Irish stands accused of misappropriating more than half a million dollars in Grand County Building Department funds.
Her last court appearance was in early January when Irish and her legal counsel, William Frankfurt of the Frankfurt Law Offices in Denver, appeared in District Court for the first time, also for an arraignment.
During that court appearance Frankfurt requested a continuance on the case.
An undisclosed plea agreement has been offered to Irish by the district attorney’s (DA) office. The agreement will become public only if Irish accepts the terms of the deal offered by the DA. Irish can officially accept an offered plea agreement any time she appears in court before a judge.
Irish and her legal counsel have given no indication so far whether they will accept any plea deal.
