Bullying should not be ignored in Grand County schools

To the Editor:

I would like to address Ms. Randi Strandberg’s comments (in the Friday, June 3, edition) about bullying at Middle Park High School.

Many concerned citizens attended the school board’s meetings on bullying held several years ago. We were assured that the Board and District have a “zero-tolerance” policy on bullying. The policy is in writing only and is not, as far as anyone can tell, administered.

I share Ms. Strandberg’s frustration. I urge the “authority figures” to whom she refers to wake up and take this problem seriously.
