ALCO could stay open through February

The Fraser ALCO will stay open into February as liquidators continue to bring inventory into the store.

“The official word we have from the bankruptcy court is that they’re trying to extend to keep the location open a little bit longer than Jan 31,” said Craig Clark.

Clark, who is currently in the process of purchasing the shopping center through his LLC, Fraser Valley Shopping Center, said he believed ALCO could remain open “through February.”

Clark also said Fraser residents could expect to see a coming soon banner in the shopping center “fairly shortly,” though he could not name the potential new business on the record.

“We expect construction on the new tenant to start on May 1 and the Grand opening to be around November 1,” Clark said.

Additionally, Clark’s new retail marijuana store will have a soft opening on Friday, Jan. 30. Growhouse Fraser LLC is located in the second floor of the ALCO shopping center.
