Grand Economic Summit speaks to leadership
The Grand Summit has a message of inspiration for those in leadership positions as well as those who lead with their words and their actions. Together we can educate, collaborate and elevate each other to new heights.
Betty Shotton will be bringing a message of inspiration with her keynote presentation “LiftOff Leadership” to the Grand Economic Summit scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 2.
Sponsored by the Grand County of Economic Development, the Grand Economic Summit will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at The High Lonesome Lodge at Devil’s Thumb Resort.
With over 35 years as a CEO and entrepreneur, Betty now spends her time speaking to and advising business leaders on the critical importance of putting profits within the context of a greater purpose: leadership. With experience and practical know-how, she inspires leaders to broaden their perspectives beyond the numbers to ensure that what they do makes a positive impact on the lives and communities they serve.
Join Betty for a dynamic and inter-active look at your company culture, learn ways to make your businesses more resilient and sustainable, gain insights on the power of human potential.
There will be three significant components to the event, including the overview of the recently completed Grand County Community Profile. RRC & Associates will be presenting the Grand County Community Profile, a study designed to assist with the economic development of Grand County.
The purpose of the Profile is to more fully understand the Grand County economy and to establish a dynamic database to help businesses, economic development entities, and governments/service providers make informed decisions to help expand livelihoods in Grand County.
An overview of the profile will be presented along with some of the identified key findings that will have continuing application to economic development opportunities for local towns, businesses and the county.
To culminate the day, Alece Montez, of the Orton Foundation, will speak on the Heart and Soul project and how it can shape our future.
Community Heart and Soul reconnects people with what they love most about their town and translates those personal and emotional connections into a blueprint that serves as the foundation for future community decisions.
The Orton Family Foundation’s mission is to empower people to shape the future of their communities by improving local decision-making, creating a shared sense of belonging, and ultimately strengthening the social, cultural and economic vibrancy of each place.
