Grand Mountain Bank launches Lend-A-Hand program to benefit Grand County nonprofits
Grand Mountain Bank recently launched the Lend-A-Hand Donation Program that provides customers the opportunity to donate to their favorite nonprofit organization. In May, the bank began donating $100 for every home mortgage loan closed to local nonprofit organizations and approved fundraisers. The borrower will be the one selecting the benefiting nonprofit organization in Grand County.
“Supporting the many nonprofit organizations that serve our community is important to our community bank,” said Frank DeLay, President of Grand Mountain Bank.
“Recently we decided to expand our donation program to include our new home loan customers. As part of this process, the bank is asking the customer to select where the donation goes. We have a list of nearly 200 approved nonprofit organizations in Grand County so there are a lot to choose from.”
During the last two years, Grand Mountain Bank donated over $45,000 to 130 community organizations and events. The new Lend-A-Hand Donation Program will increase both the amount of annual donations made and the number of organizations that receive donations from Grand Mountain Bank.
“Grand County is unique,” DeLay said. “We have a diverse group of locals, second home owners and part-time residents who are purchasing properties. We hope this program will increase our customers’ awareness of the many amazing organizations that do so much good for our community. Who knows, maybe it will even facilitate life-long relationships that will help our nonprofits both short and long-term.”
Grand Mountain Bank kicked off their Mortgage Lending Outreach Initiative in 2016 to shed light on the mortgage lending process and help advocate for consumers.
