Athletes and fitness enthusiasts in Grand County now have another option for top-notch fitness facilities.

Recently opened Mountain Life Fitness, a health and fitness club in Granby, offers state of the art fitness equipment, as well as some less common amenities like a kid’s recreation room, towel service and an organic juice and smoothie bar.

Owner Jackie Wright has been in the fitness industry for 28-plus years and has trained all over the world.

Wright owned and operated Never Summer Fitness in Grand Lake for seven years, and said she hopes the new facility will become Grand County’s all-around fitness destination.

“We have a couple of other alternatives (fitness facilities in Grand County), but we really wanted a full-service fitness facility that was strictly focused on fitness,” said Wright.

The 4,600 square foot facility boasts a group fitness room, free-weight floor, open fitness and cardio area, and massage room.

There are also men and women’s locker rooms.

For the avid cyclist, Mountain Life Fitness also has a LeMond Revmaster indoor group cycle program and spinning classes.

Serious weight lifters will find free weight, plate-loaded and select-rise stack systems by brands like Hoist and Matrix.

The gym also employs top-notch fitness professionals to help members get the most out of their workouts.

Busy parents can drop-off their children in the child-care room while they work out.

As a business owner, Wright said that though all of these accommodations are nice, it’s the relationship with the customer that really matters.

“We just want to be the best in customer service,” Wright said. “Anyone can have equipment, anyone can have the physical plant. At the end of the day, it’s how you treat the customer that matters.”

Memberships cost from $40 to $130 per month and include a range of options, from fitness floor only up to household memberships. Mountain Life Fitness also offers corporate memberships and seasonal options.
