Winter Park-Fraser Chamber unveils new online map

The Winter Park–Fraser Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a new interactive map feature that allows visitors to easily navigate area attractions.

The Winter Park Playground Map uses geo-location to help visitors demystify the tourism scene around Grand County, showing nearby restaurants, activities and more.

“This map is great not only for people who come to Winter Park for vacation and want relevant information to their current location, but it’s also wonderful for our members,” said Catherine Ross, with the Winter Park-Fraser Chamber, in a prepared statement. “This feature increases the chances that Winter Park businesses will be found by guests who are looking for what they offer, and that’s a win-win proposition.”

Wick Creative, a Denver-based web development and marketing firm, created the map, which users can load on smartphones or tablets.

The map includes nearly all of the Winter Park-Fraser Chamber’s members, and allows users to filter through categories like lodging and dining and nightlife to find the right activity or service.

The map will eventually feature events, hiking and biking trails, scene drives and more. The website also includes a personalized travel planner that allows visitors to build their own itinerary.
