This Saturday night, the Grand Arts Council presents its annual talent show “Cabin Fever Follies” on the Grand Lake Community House stage. Jan Sears will direct while Andrea Cox has gathered a cross section of talent of all ages from around the county.

The exact lineup of talent is always a secret, but prepare to be amazed at how talented some of our youngest neighbors are. A few adults will surprise the crowd with their unexpeted talents. And, of course, there will be the county’s finest selection of poets, singers, musicians and dancers.

Some favorites are returning to the stage, including Robert Canon on guitar and vocal, Grand Lake Elementary school choir and an encore performance by the local belly dancers.

Guest dancer Rafi’ah of Denver will offer us a sneak preview of her show later this year at the Night in Morocco dinner.

The kids that wowed the crowd in the grade school Melody Makers years ago have continued to grow in their talent every year – it’s always impressive to hear their solos after the training they get year after year.

Will the Mountain Men Ballet be up to their usual antics? Come find out.

Master of Ceremonies Jim Peterson will be keeping the crowd in stitches between acts with his carefully composed corny jokes and groaners.

Don’t miss this fabulous show, promising to be the cure for Cabin Fever that we all need. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets, $15 for adults and $8 for kids under twelve, will be sold at the door.
