GRANBY — Crawford Campbell, a senior at Middle Park High School, will be joining the Sky-Hi News staff as an intern during the school year.

Campbell plans to write about prep sports and other activities from Middle Park High School and West Grand High School.

From his love of literature, he started writing at a young age, he said. He hopes to study business and writing post-graduation and is planning to apply to Southern Methodist University and the University of Michigan.

Born in Denver, Campbell grew up in Belcaro, of Denver, before moving to Castle Rock, then Monument, then Grand Lake. Employed at the Quacker Gift Shop in Grand Lake as managing supervisor, his summer was busy with work, competitive sailing, wakeboarding, and wakeskating.

“We are excited to have Crawford contribute to our goals of bringing readers the full spectrum of community news here at Sky-Hi,” said Sky-Hi Managing Editor Tonya Bina. “His enthusiasm for writing will take him far in any career he pursues, and we look forward to working with him.”
