CDOT employee pulls gun on co-worker

Tempers simmered Thursday morning when Colorado Department of Transportation employee Bryan Charlesworth, 48, of Grand Junction pulled a gun on a coworker at the Kremmling CDOT shop.

Charged with felony menacing on Aug. 12, Charlesworth was a member of a CDOT paint crew out of Grand Junction, according to Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Buddy Grinstead.

The altercation with his co-worker stemmed from a “clash of personalities,” Grinstead said.

After pulling the gun, the suspect jumped into a CDOT truck and drove off, but he didn’t get far.

Before turning the corner, county deputies, Kremmling police and the Colorado State Patrol cut him off and apprehended him.
