Cecil Logging has Colorado office, best intentions

In your editorial, printed on Dec. 20, you referred to Cecil Logging as a California company.

I just want to clarify the fact that Cecil Logging Inc. is a Colorado corporation in good standing and has a local contact office.

Justin Cecil, the principle of Cecil Logging Inc. is a California native and owns the equipment that his incorporation uses on the sites.

The Cecil family has been in the logging business for generations and is well known in the industry. Due to the nature of the industry, loggers are known to travel to the areas where the need for their service is greatest.

After Hurricane Katrina, many companies headed to the gulf coast for the clean up. Colorado is in the midst of a major beetle infestation so the need is here. These professionals bring with them the years of experience and the knowledge that mulching the slash is far superior to burning and have the equipment to see it done.

Cecil Logging Inc. has been conscientious about the needs and concerns of local citizens. They have hired locals to work with the specialists who left their families to be here.

Bottom Line Bookkeepping, a long-established Grand County firm, has been contracted to handle the financial needs here.

We hope that all our local businesses will follows the rules and realize that all these dead trees around here need to go as soon as possible with the least amount of carbon dislocation as possible.
