Easter is Sunday, April 20, and there are lots of events in Grand County to celebrate.

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt

Teens, grab your flashlight and head up to Granby’s soccer dome Thursday, April 17. This free Easter event is sponsored by the Granby Recreation Department, Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District and Grand County Juvenile Services. The egg hunt starts promptly at 8 p.m. and lasts until 9:30 p.m. All youths in sixth grade and up are invited. No registration is required. For questions about the event, call the recreation department at 970-887-3961.

Easter Egg Hunt at Moffat train museum

The Easter bunny will visit the Moffat Road Railroad Museum in Granby on Saturday, April 19. Children can attend this free event to find 5,000 candy-filled eggs, plus 50 special eggs.

There will be three age zones for the egg hunt, including one for toddlers. There will also be three entrances to the hunt, so that everyone can get into the hunt area at the same time when it kicks off. The event begins at 10 a.m., and it’s recommended to arrive at 9:30 a.m. Remember to bring your egg basket to fill with goodies.

Volunteers are needed to help set up the event at 10 a.m. Friday as well as the day of the event on Saturday.

Admission to the museum is free Saturday.
