Celebrating Pet Wellness week

Sky-Hi News Staff Report

Pet Wellness Week starts May 23 and Carrie Nedele, owner of Grand Animal Hospital in Fraser is offering discounted services at her business.

“I want to be able to give back to the community; I want to help people out,” she said.

Her hope is to offer discount services to get as many Grand County dogs and cats spayed, neutered, and vaccinated to keep the community healthy.

“It also cuts down on what the shelter has to do,” Nedele said.

Appointment must to be scheduled in advance during May 23-26.

Nedele will be celebrating her Grand Opening on Saturday, May 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with tours of the animal hospital.

Gary Schoen will offer Pet Portraits for $20 with proceeds going to Mountain Pets Rescue.

A BBQ will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the end of the day she will draw the winner of a camp chair and BBQ/table top grill from the day-long raffle.

“My hope is that the winner will get out and camp with their pets,” said Nedele.

All proceeds of the BBQ and raffle will go to local animal shelters.
