Chris Cox Bone Marrow drive, thank you

Tyler Wengert
Special to the Sky-Hi News

We at the Middle Park FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) would like to extend our profuse thanks to the great community members that supported our Bone Marrow Match and Blood Drive. All the support and love this community has shown will surely brighten the spirits of Chris and his family during this holiday season. And even though this drive was held in support of Chris, please know that your generous donations will help many other people overcome the difficult circumstances in their own lives.

The event was a huge success bringing in a total of 52 blood donations and 22 Bone Marrow Registry entries. We were able to fill every blood donation slot that Bonfils had during the day. The 22 entries into the Bone Marrow Registry more than doubled the average signup rate for Bonfils. We do apologize to anyone who wasn’t able to donate due to the high volume of people or to any other circumstance, and do encourage you to look at Bonfils.org to find another opportunity to donate blood. If you would still like to join the Bone Marrow Registry, and are between the ages of 18 and 44, you can order a self test kit from Bonfils to join anytime.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the Granby Rotary Club and to Bonfils who worked so graciously with us to make this event the great success it was, despite a few uphill battles along the way.

The Middle Park FBLA sends our best thoughts, love, and support to Chris and the entire Cox family, and wish everyone a happy holidays and happy new year.
