Christmas in July Food Drive succeeds

On behalf of the members of the Grand Lake Golf Clubs, we would like to thank all who supported our food drive and golf fundraiser for the TCP Food Bank and Angels Outreach NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS program.

It was our first time to host such an event and we were thrilled with the success. Because of all who supported, we were able to add almost 2,000 items and $2,000 to the food bank’s shelves and coffers. That will help our community food bank feed and/or help another 85 neighbors in need. THANK YOU.

Special thanks to Alan Brown, Grand Lake Golf Course, for the amazing discounted rate for golfers. Hats off to all who participated in the bartender’s challenge. Congrats to Sagebrush who took 1st place and to the Waconda for finishing 2nd. Thanks to Annie Oium at Grand County Radio Marketing for getting the event on the airwaves for us! Thanks to Ryndi Zastrow for her great coverage of the events in Sky-Hi News. A big shout out to the Grand Lake Chamber and Buffalo BBQ for letting us set up a collection booth to share our cause. We especially appreciate all the area merchants who allowed us to place our Christmas collection boxes in their stores.

Thank you to the entire community for supporting us.
