The Grand County Housing Authority is celebrating the end of renovations at Cliffview Assisted Living Center in Kremmling. Thanks to a $160,000 grant from the Colorado Division of Housing, Cliffview now has a warmer, more modern look with new paint and carpet throughout the halls and rooms. New furniture, window coverings and light fixtures, plus an updated color scheme make Cliffview feel more like a home. Major improvements were also made to the air system, water heater, sidewalks and parking lot.

The renovations make the facility more comfortable and enjoyable for residents, says Jim Sheehan, director of the Grand County Housing Authority.

“We want Cliffview to be their home,” Sheehan says. “We want them to remain as independent as possible yet have the supportive services available when needed.”

Built in 1994, Cliffview is Grand County’s only assisted living facility. With 24 units, the building is licensed for 28 with a few rooms designated for couples. Cliffview currently has several openings available and short term respite stays are welcome.

The community is invited to visit, says Jeff Pexton, Cliffview’s administrator. “Stop by or call anytime to arrange a tour and see all the great improvements we have made.” Cliffview is owned by Grand County Housing Authority and managed by Senior Housing Options.
