DENVER, Colorado – Colorado Democrats are getting calls from a second president.

Less than a week after President Barack Obama joined a telephone call with Sen. Michael Bennet, former President Bill Clinton recorded a telephone appeal for Bennet’s challenger, Andrew Romanoff.

Romanoff is challenging Bennet in a Tuesday primary. Clinton’s robocall sent Monday told Democrats who haven’t yet voted that Romanoff has the best chance to hold the seat in November’s election.

Obama told Democrats last week that Bennet is the person he wants serving alongside him.

If Bennet loses, he’ll be the third senator this year to fail to win his party’s nomination.
