Colorado Parks and Wildlife is crafting a new strategic plan to serve as a roadmap for how it oversees the state’s wildlife, land and outdoor recreation resources over the next 10 years.

After kicking off the planning process last fall, the state agency is starting to gather input from internal and external stakeholders. From now until May 26, members of the public can submit anonymous feedback on Parks and Wildlife’s public engagement website, EngageCPW.org

The brief survey rates community opinion on Parks and Wildlife’s mission, values, challenges, opportunities and communication. It also provides an opportunity for individuals to give feedback.

The 2026 Strategic Plan will update the 2015 roadmap, which set goals around how Parks and Wildlife manages wildlife, habitat and parks as well as how it operates from a financial, staff and community perspective.

The plan is expected to be adopted in June 2026.
