Colorado River Water Conservation District meeting

Sky-Hi News Staff Report

Every spring the Colorado River Water Conservation District organizes an informational “State of the River” meeting with speakers who give up-to-date information on snowpack figures, water supply forecasts and anticipated stream flows and conditions. Reservoir operators and climate professionals will forecast how much melted snow is expected to flow into Western Colorado reservoirs and the amounts and timing of water releases to the rivers over the upcoming season.

State of the River meetings are open to the public and recommended for all citizens who enjoy water.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 19 at Hotel Denver Loft, 402 7th Street Glenwood Springs.
