Constitution Week coming to Grand Lake Sept. 14-19

To the Editor:

The U.S. Constitution is the “supreme law of the land.” It was drafted in 1787 and ratified in 1788.

Being the first constitution of its kind, it has influenced, and outlived, the constitutions of many other nations. Grand Lake is proud to be one of only a few towns who celebrate this amazing document.

The 4th Annual Constitution Week is Sept. 14-19 and has something for everyone. There are speakers who are experts in their field, a fun “Constitutional Trivia” competition, a 5K “Run For The Republic”, a parade, movie, Non-Profit Expo, fireworks and Constitution Week merchandise for sale.

Artist Marjorie Cranston has donated 3 giclee paintings for a raffle sponsored by the Rotary Club. Go to or call 970-627-3402 for a complete list of activities, speakers, and to register for the 5K race, parade, and Non Profit Fair.

Constitution Week is a great family event and a wonderful way to celebrate the freedom that our US Constitution guarantees. Join us in Grand Lake for one of our last high country holiday celebrations.
