Cottonwood Pass fire close to containment

Fire can be seen along Cottonwood Pass (County Road 55) just south of Granby on Wednesday, July 13 around 5 p.m.

The Cottonwood Pass fire is almost contained, as of 6:42 p.m., Wednesday evening, according to Nowell Curran, Grand County Emergency Manager. The quick response to the fire from Grand County fire departments has reduced the size to 1.7 acres and almost full containment, she said.
