Homicide suspect found in Granby, in custody
On Friday April 21 members of the Middle Park Emergency Response Team (MPRT) responded to a call by US Marshal’s Office to take into custody Kyle Engen, 30 who was wanted as a possible homicide suspect from Wisconsin. Engen also wanted on a no-bond probation violation warrant out of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Law enforcement also had information that Engen was armed.
MPRT developed a plan and took the suspect into custody while he was sitting in a motor vehicle in Granby. No one was injured during the arrest.
Engen was transported to the Grand County Jail pending extradition proceedings through the State of Wisconsin.
Middle Park Emergency Response Team includes law enforcement personnel from the Granby Police Department, Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Fraser Winter Park Police Department, Kremmling Police Department and Grand County EMS.
