Current, former state legislators endorse Romanoff in Senate race

DENVER (AP) – Former state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff has been endorsed by 61 current and former state legislators in his campaign for the U.S. Senate.

Romanoff announced Friday that he has the support from a majority of the Democrats in the state Legislature in the Democratic primary race against incumbent U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet.

Romanoff was also endorsed by the Teamsters and United Food and Commercial Workers unions Wednesday. Bennet has received his share of endorsements, too, including President Barack Obama, who will appear with him at fundraisers next week.
