Denver child found safe inside stolen car
DENVER (AP) – Denver police say a 6-year-old girl has been found safe after someone stole her parents’ idling car where she’d been left by herself.
Authorities say the car was stolen before dawn Friday and was located just six minutes later about a block away.
A witness reported seeing a man walking away from the car, but no one has been arrested.
Police Lt. Matt Murray says it’s illegal to leave a car running unattended but he doubts the parents will be charged.
