District Deputy DA Heather Stein resigns

14th Judicial District Deputy Attorney Heather Stein has resigned.

Stein, whose last day was Nov. 19, first joined the district attorney’s office in 2008, said Donna Zulian with the 14th Judicial District.

“We are in the process of interviewing, so once a decision has been made then (District Attorney) Brett Barkey will hire a new deputy district attorney,” Zulian said.

The district recently transferred Deputy District Attorney Katherine Brown from its Moffat County office to its Grand County office.

Brown’s official start date was Nov. 1.
