Do your own research in this important election

This message is to all voting Americans. The 2008 Federal election is coming up and it is the most important one of my life time and most likely yours too. Have you registered to vote yet? Don’t forget that there are still countries that don’t give their citizens that privilege. Please take this privilege seriously. Do your own research. Do not waste your time watching a biased network. May I recommend “Fox” as the fairest network on T.V. Don’t vote Democrat or Republican because all of your ancestors were Republican or Democrat. Don’t vote Democrat or Republican because the candidate promises you handouts. Be an educated voter.

Take this privilege to vote seriously. Make your vote count. First of all figure out what the most important issue is for your country not for you personally. For example, National Security. We won’t have to worry about anything else if we are not safe in our own country. I am Proud to be an American and I hope you are as well. If not, there are many other countries you can move to. Once you have done your research and you have zeroed in on what is the most important issue then you are ready to look at how each candidate is going to try to fix the problem. Follow the same procedure with your next important issue and so on down the line. Don’t forget our country’s future is in your hands. Educate yourself and make an intelligent decision. The character, of the candidates is very important. Where have they been ,what have they done, and who have their friends been etc? Don’t take everything you hear on T.V., read in the newspapers or hear from your friends as being true. Politicians and the media have bad reputations for giving out false information. Talk to your friends and relatives and about what you’ve learned from your research.

Vote on Nov. 4. Your duty as an American does not stop there. You must keep informed about what is going on in your community, your city and your state. Know who your representatives are. Contact them if you have a problem OR if you want to give them a thumbs up for a job well done.

Don’t forget what J.F.K. said, “Don’t ask what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Get off the couch today and do something good . America is a wonderful place to live. It is up to us to keep it that way. Thank you for reading this message. Please pass it on to someone who is struggling with this election..
